USB Driver of MOBITEK S80 Supports Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10

We have conducted a test in 4 different OS which is:-

  • Windows Server 2008 32-bit;
  • Windows Server 2012 64-bit;
  • Windows Server 2016 64-bit; and
  • Windows 10 64-bit.

Note: all the above OS were running in a virtual machine (VirtualBox).

Then we left MOBITEK S80 running for 4 hours in each OS, and the COM Port DID NOT disappear.

MOBITEK S80 was not connected to power cable, it is using power from the USB cable.

The USB driver version is 11.5.

Therefore the USB driver, version 11.5, for MOBITEK S80 works in these 4 OS:-

    • Windows Server 2008 32-bit;
    • Windows Server 2012 64-bit;
    • Windows Server 2016 64-bit and
    • Windows 10 64-bit.

Unable to connect to POP3 server of Gmail despite had set to “allow less secure app to access”.

If you still can’t log into your account through your application after changing the “Allow less secure apps” setting, consider enabling 2-Step Verification and creating an application-specific password. If you cannot access your account using an app password, your application may not meet Google’s new security standards. For example, older versions of Outlook may no longer work with Google’s authentication system. Consider upgrading your application to the latest version and try logging in again.

 

Conclusion: we need to revise the VB6 code of SMS360 — E-mail Edition.

Before you insert the SIM card, you must check the position of SIM Card. When insert the SIM Card:-

  1. the “gold area” of the SIM Card should be facing downward;
  2. turn on the switch button, if you can see the blue LED Blinking, this means MobiGATE is connected to the 2G/3G network

How to Solve File History’s Error “Unusual condition was encountered during scanning user libraries for changes and performing backup of modified files for configuration”

Problem: File History in Windows 8.1 does not copy perform any back-up activity, no file are copied into “data” folder, e.g. “K:\FileHistory\Data” and the Event Viewer shows “Unusual condition was encountered during scanning user libraries for changes and performing backup of modified files for configuration”.

These solutions DOES NOT WORK:-

  1. Deleting “Catalog1.edb”, “Catalog2.edb”, “Config1.xml” and “Config2.xml” from these folders :-
    1.  C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\FileHistory\Configuration\Config
    2. Back-up folder — K:\FileHistory\zenbook-user\ASUS-UX303L\Configuration
  2. Scan hard disk for corrupted files.

Solution: remove all network drives and external drives from Libraries.
