We like to provide 3 suggested solutions to this error message

“GetDeliveryStatusReport Modem ID: 1, Unable to update record with this report”

Suggested Solution no.1 — Uncheck Delivery Status Report

Uncheck it, the Engine will not check for any delivery report.

Suggested Solution no. 2 — Delete All records in Outbox table

Warning: please back-up your database before you delete all records. This should be done by your software developer (John or Jen).

1. Backup database file (.mdb)
   Copy “SMSEngine5.mdb” and save as “SMSEngine5_01.mdb” in your PC.
   
2. Click View and select “SQL View”
   Insert query and click “Run”.
   
3. Click yes to delete all the records.
    Important 
   • After you remove records using a delete query, you cannot undo the operation. If you want to know which records were deleted, first examine the results of a select query that uses the same criteria, and then run the delete query.
   • Maintain backup copies of your data at all times. If you delete the wrong records, you can retrieve them from your backup copies.
     
4. All records will be deleted.
   

Suggested Solution no. 3 — Re-install

Warning: please back-up your database before you re-install. This should be done by your software developer (John or Jen).

1. Backup database file (.mdb)
   Copy “SMSEngine5.mdb” and save as “SMSEngine5_01.mdb” in your PC.
2. Uninstall and reinstall SMS Engine Basic Edition.
   
3. Database will clear and new records starts with no.1.
   

Note: this case remain unsolved as at 2020-03-09

Unable to connect to POP3 server of Gmail despite had set to “allow less secure app to access”.

All messages in the inbox remain unread. By right, all messages should be read by SMS360.

If you still can’t log into your account through your application after changing the “Allow less secure apps” setting, consider enabling 2-Step Verification and creating an application-specific password. If you cannot access your account using an app password, your application may not meet Google’s new security standards. For example, older versions of Outlook may no longer work with Google’s authentication system. Consider upgrading your application to the latest version and try logging in again.

Conclusion: we need to revise the VB6 code of SMS360 — E-mail Edition.

1. Use the Excel file that was installed. The Excel file is located in C:\Program Files\MOBITEK SMS360\Basic Edition.
   
   
2. Insert contacts details into Excel File
   
3. Save the Excel File, the extension should be .xls
   
4. At SMS360 application, click this button to import contacts from excel into SMS360 address book
   
5. Once, the contact manager tab appear click the browse button to search for the excel file and select it.
   
6. The selected excel file will be shown in the textbox
   
7. Click proceed
   
8. Number of imported contacts will be shown
   
9. The imported contacts will be shown at the address book of SMS360.
