Re: Suggestions for Women Entrepreneurs Event
- Fashion Show + High Tea Networking
- invite successful/high profile woman entrepreneurs from different background to share:-
- successful singe lady entrepreneur, e.g. Cheryl Yeoh
- successul woman entrepreneur who is a mother with kids and family, e.g. Amber Chia
- successful single mum
The above ideas was with me sometime, need to let it out or else I can’t sleep. Thank you.
Survey
To: EXCO members of Young Entrepreneurs Committee
From: K.L. Ng
Re: Survey
I suggest that we should held a survey of our youth members every time before the EXCO meeting.
Objective:
1) to find out what they want/need so that we can plan event/programme for members
2) to let them evaluate our Youth Group so that we know if we are doing it right
During the EXCO meeting, we will discuss the outcome of survey.
Without survey, we are not able to listen to their voice, we will need to guess what they want, and members will start to leave (it is happening now).
Expanding the ACCCIM YEC’s Event

Re: Expanding the ACCCIM YEC’s Event
I like to propose to ACCCIM 青商团 to hold a concurrent business expo and business matching events during ACCCIM AGM and YEC (the event can be extended from 2 days to 4 days).
Reasons:-
- to attact ACCCIM members who had been attending YEC for more than 3 years and may be loosing interest in YEC if the event is on talk only;
- for the new members/ young entreprenuers, they can listen to successful entreprenuers sharing their success (this is the current model of YEC);
- for the mature members/seasoned entreprenuers, they can do business matching or showcase their products and services to members of other states, effetively show casing to whole of Malaysia;
- to use ACCCIM YEC as a platform for creating business opportunies among ACCCIM members (right now YEC is focusing on talking/sharing);
- since the visitor numbers is substantially huge during the ACCCIM AGM and YEC, we can utilise this time to hold or launch concurrent events (this will reduce the advertising and promotion cost to pull the crowd and to have better bargaining power with hotel);
- long term goal — to make ACCCIM YEC an international event where it can draw international visitors/entreprenuers and ACCCIM members can use this platform to find new business opportunities with local as well as overseas partners, e.g. COMPUTEX was originally a local event but became an international event;
- furthermore the theme of ACCCIM YEC this year was “Global Opportunities, Malaysia and Beyond”, therefore, ACCCIM YEC should also go global.
Malay Fluent in Mandarin as Candidate for ACCCIM Secretary cum Public Relation
To: Datuk Ng
From: K.L. NG
Datuk, with regard to yesterday’s SWOT, I like to suggest that the Secretary to hold dual role, secretary cum Public Relationship. And the candidate could be a Malay who well verse in Mandarin.
Benefits:-
- a Malay who had worked in govt. department or Ministry and have better network with govt officials, workings;
- helps to connect with government;
- send a positive image/branding to government;
- could open opportunities to Malays who had studied Chinese primary school;
- indirectly government will see the benefits of Chinese school.
I saw this article in TheStar. It resonates with what I suggested in earlier to consider a Malay fluent in Mandarin for ACCCIM Secretary cum Public Relation.
KUALA LUMPUR: A Malay woman who is fluent in Mandarin has proven her worth both to her peers and boss at LBS Bina Group Bhd.
EXCO Members’ Directory for Visiting Delegates
To: EXCO Members of Youth Committee
From: K.L. Ng
Re: Exco’s Directory for Visiting Delegates
I have attended 2 networking/reception functions:-
1) MRCA
2) CMA of Hong Kong
Here is my feedback:-
– CMA of HK had given us delegates booklet, it will be good if we can give them a EXCO’s or Youth Committee Directory.
Purpose:-
– they can get to know us better and can have something to take back with them.
– with directory they can know our business and explore business opportunities
Cost of Directory:-
– cheapest solution = use A4 paper and colour printer to print the directory
– professional solution = print in booklet
How to Create Directory Using Cheapest Solution:-
– extract from KLSCCCI Membership Directory
– put in MS Word table format
The directory can also be given to MBA students from Philippines during their visit on 30/Oct.
